On August 7th, 2016, the IISC gathered approximately thirty-five volunteers to go and visit the Calgary Drop-In and Rehab Centre. Eight volunteers were in the kitchen doing some basic prep work, while the remaining stayed on the floor to serve food. A meat stew with bread, and a side salad were served to over a thousand people that evening, al hamdulillah! On August 13th, 2016, the IISC organized a basketball boot camp for it's two boys youth groups. The special guest instructor was coach Abdul-Kadir Kuru an ex-professional basketball player. The kids practiced their dribbling skills, shooting skills, footwork, and stamina. Most importantly they were among other young Muslims where they learned about fair play, good sportsman ship, team work, and good character on and off the basketball court. After it was all done and over they got to enjoy some fresh halal pizza!

Alhamadolillah, IISC has made an additional payment of $500,000 toward the commitment for August, 2016. To-date, this is a total payment of $600,000 and we are currently working toward completing required legal documentation to secure the possession of the new IISC Downtown location at 614 6th Ave SW, insha'Allah. In order to accomplish this, we need your continued generous support and donations for the upcoming renovations and also the next payment which is due on February, 2017.
