One Ummah Conference - The Contemporary Muslim

April 22, 2016

The “One Ummah” Conference (meaning ‘One Nation’) is a yearly event organized by the Islamic Information Society of Calgary (IISC) as a part of its ongoing education and awareness programs for both Muslims and non-Muslims. One Ummah is the largest Islamic event in Western Canada! The organizers and volunteers put in significant efforts into the planning, choosing the right theme of the conference and inviting some of the most popular and well qualified scholars from across the world. The aim is to overcome misconceptions and face emerging challenges by teaching the true message of Islam. The One Ummah Conference promotes the theme of “Change Yourself – Change the World”, believing each one of us has the power to change the world by changing one person at a time starting with ourselves. We hope by promoting the Islamic tradition we can continue to bring harmony within our diverse community.
