On March 18th, 2017, the IISC hosted its annual conference: One Ummah. This year's theme was: "Stronger Together". This year's conference was held at the illustrious Jack Singer Opera Center. With dynamic and relevant presenters such as: Sh. Waleed Basyouni, Sh. Alaa El-Sayed, Amira El-Ghawaby, and Jeremy Mclellan, and local talents including Mahdi Qasqas, Amanallah Abbas, Ayman Mohammed, and Sh. Navaid Aziz. Some of the highlighted topics in this year's conference were: - The Prophetic Model in Dealing with Differences - We Belong - Building Bridges - Humans Without Boarders - Young Visionaries

Without a doubt the most anticipated presentation was Jeremy Mclellan's comedy session and he did not fail to deliver! The conference was followed up by a workshop on dealing with Islamophobia with Sr. Amira, which highlighted a lot of key themes that Muslims are dealing with in this day and age.
