IISC Buys Plates for the Drop In Centre (The DI)

Calgary Drop-in Centre

On July 29th the IISC volunteers in collaboration with Qabeelat Nasr Impact volunteered to serve dinner at the Calgary Drop-in Centre. The Drop-In Centre is the largest facility of its kind in Calgary where they offer over 50 different programs and services to the disenfranchised. What made this trip in particular very special was the fact the IISC Helping Hands group, Sr. Renata Muminhodzic from Al-Amal Preschool, and Br. Zouheir Osman from Osman motors purchased 500 plates for the centre for their continual usage. The Drop-In Centre estimates serving 500,000 meals per a year. The IISC is committed to assist the Drop-In Centre at least once a month, insha Allah!

If you're interested in volunteering for this initiative or any of the other IISC volunteer initiatives please send an email to volunteers.iisc@gmail.com to be added to our list.
