Given the frequency with which active threat events are being reported, public demand for information on how to respond to such events is increasing. This presentation promotes critical thinking in planning a response to an active threat, and discusses factors to consider when making that plan. Topics include:

- History, statistics, and lessons learned from world events - Mind, body, and situational awareness - Psychological, physiological and environmental considerations - Pre-event response planning - Police response - Post event recovery and trauma resiliency
