The Best Ten Days And Their Excellence | Eid Al Adha on Sunday, August 11, 2019

As salam 'alaikum wa rahamatullahi wa barakaatuhu,

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Among the excellent seasons of worship are the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, which Allah has preferred over all the other days of the year. It is an amazing opportunity for worship, remembrance, charity, fasting and sacrifice.

The Muslim must understand the value of his life on this earth, take advantage of these beautiful times to increase his good deeds and increase his rewards.

Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are no days greater in the sight of Allah and in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Him than these ten days, so during this time recite a great deal of Tahlil (saying: 'there is no god but Allah'), Takbir and Tahmid." (Reported by Ahmad)

While good deeds are many, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has recommended an easy act of worship which is the remembrance of Allah. A deed that can always be performed without any difficulty.

These ten days include the Day of Arafah, on which Allah perfected His Religion. Fasting on this day will expiate for the sins of two years. These days also include the Day of Sacrifice, the greatest day of the entire year and the greatest day of Hajj, which combines acts of worship in a way, unlike any other day.

The Day of Arafah will be on Saturday - August 10 and Eid Al Adha to be celebrated on Sunday, August 11, 2019. Eid Prayer will start around 9:00 AM at The Glenmore Inn & Convention Centre.

May Allah accept our deeds and your deeds as well.
