Do you ever find yourself wondering if mental health is really that important?

Attend our workshop titled "Taking Care of Your Mental Health" to better understand if mental health has a place in Islam or whether it is exaggerated in today's society. Speakers will include Sheikh Navaid Aziz of IISC, as well as Mahnoor Khan and Walaa Taha, MSc Counselling Psychology students at the University of Calgary.

In this workshop, you will learn:

  • The Islamic view of mental health which integrates body, mind, heart, and spirit

  • The signs and symptoms of common concerns such as anxiety, mania, and depression

  • How to cope with everyday stressors and difficult life circumstances

  • Ways to prevent the escalation of mental health concerns

  • The various modes of treatment, including therapy and non-traditional ways of healing

  • What you can control when it comes to your mental health
