As salam 'alaikum wa rahamatullahi wa barakaatuhu,
It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that the IISC informs you of the passing of our dear brother and friend Abdulla Barahim.
For over the past decade Abdullah honourably served as the president of the Islamic Information Society of Calgary (IISC). Abdulla was an exemplary community leader and volunteer who carried a loving passion in helping and assisting those in need. His kindness and consideration touched many and his contribution to our community will sorely be missed.
We pray that Allah showers His blessings and mercy upon our beloved brother Abdulla Barahim and grants him the company of the righteous in the highest levels of paradise.
O Allah, forgive and have mercy upon him, excuse him and pardon him, and make honourable his reception. Expand his entry, and cleanse him with water, snow, and ice, and purify him of sin as a white robe is purified of filth. Exchange his home for a better home, and his family for a better family, and his spouse for a better spouse. Admit him into the Garden, protect him from the punishment of the grave and the torment of the Fire.
