We're Moving - IISC Community Update
Assalamu alaikum,
Dear members of the IISC community, and the Muslim community in Calgary at large, we would like to take this opportunity to inform you of some of the amazing things happening at the IISC.

The Edmonton Trail Musalla will be relocating to a bigger, better, and more sister friendly space, in-shaa’Allah! We have been at 207 4th Street NE for over a decade and the time has come to move on as we have outgrown the space. The new address is 4128 6th Street NE, next to our Al-Kahf Youth Centre. In-shaa’Allah. The move will be finalized in February, and we will keep you posted on the progress.

The IISC has taken full possession and fully paid off its downtown location: 1009 7th Ave SW. The interior demolition of the bottom floor has already taken place, the architectural designs are complete and renovations to be started as soon as we receive approvals for the proposed development, in-shaa’Allah. The upper floor will continue to serve as the prayer hall for the five daily prayers. Jumaa (Friday) prayer will continue to be held at the Ramada Hotel until the renovations on the bottom floor are completed. We are aiming to complete renovations later this year, in-shaa’Allah!

At the IISC we only believe in fundraising only when there is a need to do so. As we continue to grow and expand, with the help of Allah and then with your generous help, the services we provide would not be possible. With two major ongoing renovations, the construction projects are expected to require significant funds. If you’re interested in investing in the Calgary community with ongoing-charity (sadaqa jariyah) for your afterlife, we invite you to donate online or in person at the IISC.
